TOPFAITH UNIVERSITY NUC CONCLUDES RESOURCE VERIFICATION FOR ENGINEERING AND MEDICAL SCIENCES FACULTIES

In a bid to expand programme offerings at Topfaith University, the National Universities Commission (NUC), has concluded Resource Verification exercise in Nursing Science, Public Health, Medical Laboratories Science, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, and Architecture spread across Faculty of Medical Sciences and Faculty of Engineering.

Engr. Abraham Chundunsu, one of the resource persons from NUC, stated the essence of their visit and explained that the exercise is a compulsory phase to ensure quality assurance of all academic programmes offered in Nigerian universities.

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Patrick Ebewo, in his welcome address, commended NUC for selecting Topfaith University to be assessed and verified. ‘Your visit to Topfaith University for the purpose of Resource Assessment is indeed, a welcome relief as this will surely pave the way for the take-off of our envisaged programmes. The visitation is a laudable exercise as it exemplifies quality assurance, a practice Topfatih University highly subscribes’. He said.

The Vice Chancellor stated that the university has provided the necessary resources for the take-off of the 8 new programmes in the 2023/2024 academic session upon conclusion of the verification exercise.

Topfaith University was licensed on April 8, 2021, and has since commenced academic programmes in faculties of Computing and Applied Sciences, Engineering, Law and Management and Social Sciences with a total of 18 degree programmes in the offering.

During the exit meeting for each programme. the NUC resource persons commended the university for the work they have put into the various departments for the verification exercise, the serene ambience of the university campus and the university’s dream to expand their programme offerings within few years of existence.
