TOPFAITH UNIVERSITY, MKPATAK, RECEIVES NUC APPROVAL FOR NURSING SCIENCE, MECHATRONICS ENGINEERING, AND OTHERS.
Topfaith University, Mkpatak, has received approval from the National Universities Commission (NUC) to commence academic activities in eight new degree programmes in the Faculties of Engineering, Computing and Applied Sciences, and the College of Medical Sciences.
The Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Patrick Ebewo, broke the news to Senate members during their recent meeting.
A letter signed by the Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission conveyed the approval for eight new undergraduate degree programmes. The programmes are Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, and Architecture. Others are Medical Laboratory Sciences, Nursing Science, and Public Health. This brings the total undergraduate academic programmes in the University to twenty-four, spread across five faculties.
The Vice-Chancellor further briefed members of the Senate that the approval is for the eight new programmes to commence in the 2023/2024 session in October 2023.
In a similar development, the Board of Trustees Chairman, Dr Emmanuel Abraham, congratulated and thanked the University Management and Staff for working so hard to secure the NUC approval.
Recall that in April 2023, the NUC visited Topfaith University, Mkpatak, for Resource Verification Exercise, a compulsory requirement for Universities prior to the commencement of new academic programmes.
The University Management hereby calls on the 2023/2024 JAMB/UTME Candidates to visit the nearest CBT Centre to change to Topfaith University as their First choice to study any of the programmes in the University.
