TOPFAITH UNIVERSITY CONGRATULATES HER CHANCELLOR ON THE OCCASION OF HIS INSTALLATION AS THE ENIN AKWA AFAHA IV WORLDWIDE

The Vice Chancellor of Topfaith University, Prof. Patrick Ebewo, and the Chairman, Board of Trustees of Topfaith University, Dr Emmanuel Abraham, congratulated the Chancellor, His Royal Majesty, Edidem Raymond Timothy Inyang (FCA, CPA) on the occasion of his installation as the Fourth Enin Akwa Afaha Worldwide. This was officially announced in an investiture ceremony held in the Chancellor’s palace in Onna Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State.

The Enin Akwa Afaha is the philosophical leader and patriarch who serves as the custodian of the tradition and culture of Afaha people as well as the President of Akwa Afaha Supreme Council. According to tradition and laid down principles, HRM Raymond Inyang was found fit and worthy to be selected for the position and historic investiture.

In his acceptance speech, the newly installed Enin Akwa Afaha said “The earliest Afaha Association came into being in 1914 by the Eket Afaha people with the sole aim of promoting their unity and welfare... My immediate task as the leader of this great group of people will be to continue to foster peace and understanding among the people across ethnic and political lineages in the state and beyond.”

In a well-attended event, the Vice Chancellor said “...It was a privilege for us to witness the occasion. We are happy that our Chancellor is found worthy of being honoured as the Enin Akwa Afaha Worldwide.” Also congratulating the Chancellor, the Chairman, Board of Trustees said that the investiture ceremony has confirmed that our Chancellor is a man of impeccable character. In his words, “Sitting to watch his citation, antecedence and expectations being read has confirmed that our Chancellor is a man of impeccable character. He is very hardworking and has an extensive network in all spheres of life professionally, culturally, and internationally. His position has been confirmed today through his coronation that he is given serious responsibility to coordinate the cultural heritage of the people of Afaha extraction, not just in Nigeria, but worldwide.”

Until his installation as the Enin Akwa Afaha IV, he is the Paramount ruler of Onna Local Government Area, Secretary General of  Ifim Ibom Ibibio Worldwide, and Chairman, Ibom Integrated Farms Limited.

Also in attendance at the investiture ceremony were traditional rulers, government officials, clan heads, Mboho Akwa Afaha members, and well-wishers.
