DR. EMMANUEL T. ABARAHAM, HFNAE, FIMC, CHAIRMAN OF TOPFAITH GROUP OF INSTITUTIONS, SERVED AS THE CONVOCATION GUEST LECTURER OF THE 34TH AND 35TH COMBINED CONVOCATION LECTURE OF THE FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY, OWERRI (FUTO) ON FRIDAY, DECEMBER 1, 202

The Proprietor/Chairman, Board of Governors of Topfaith Group of Schools and Proprietor/Chairman, Board of Trustees of Topfaith University, Dr. Emmanuel T. Abraham -HFNAE, FIMC- on Friday, December 1, 2023, held sway as the Convocation Guest Lecturer of the 34th and 35th Combined Convocation Lecture of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO).

The event was held at the main bowl of the Prof. C. O. E. Onwuliri Conference Hall of FUTO on the theme, “TWISTS, TURNS, AND TRIUMPHS OF UNIVERSITY EDUCATION IN NIGERIA”. On the theme, Dr. Abraham x-rayed the myriads of prospects and challenges inherent in the educational system of Nigeria, with special emphasis on the way forward towards meeting the ‘town and gown’ philosophy of tertiary education.

The event was chaired by the Vice Chancellor of FUTO, Prof. (Mrs.) Nnenna N. Oti was equally graced by other FUTO management staff, amongst whom were the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Administration, Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic, the Registrar, the Orator of the University and the University Alumni President as well as seasoned academics.

The Topfaith Community contingent comprised erudite members of the Topfaith University Council and management: the Pro-Chancellor of Topfaith University, Prof. Akaneren Essien; Dean of Faculty of Law, Prof. Imoh Udofa; the Dean of Faculty of Computing and Applied Science, Prof. Nsikak Benson; the Head of Department of Jurisprudence and International Law, Dr. Vincent Iwunze; and the Academic and Records Officer of Topfaith International Secondary School, Mr. Ututofon Ekop.

At the end of the presentation of the lecture, Dr. Abraham was presented with a memento of appreciation by the FUTO community. The event was in general very exciting, informative, educative, inspirational, and worthy of reference.
